The Background
A stone’s cry—the cry still after five years when I first began the blog.

A cry still after fourteen years of health struggles. I am at a very low point physically, very weak, pain, sick, exhausted.
But still cry.

Hard, pain of the world—cry hope for the in-breaking victory.
When the people are silent, the culture is silent—a cry of praise from the stones (Lk. 19:40).
Heart of stone—a cry as the heart becomes indwelt and softened by the Living Lord (Ezek. 36:25)
In the refining, perseverance—cut to be like the Living Stone of my Lord, fashioned into a temple of the Living Lord (1 Pt. 2:5, 9).

But the journey is costly.
Weary, tired, health still failing due to autoimmune, chronic Lyme and its long-term damage, and resulting comorbidities.
Costly to strength physically, emotionally, and financially.

Yet, like the stone jar of nard that Mary broke at Jesus’ feet, costly fragrance in worship. What the enemy has meant for evil has come beauty (Rom. 5:1-5).
Intimacy with Father.
Power of Jesus.
Dependence on Spirit.
Friends around me.
Words writ.

Looking to Jesus, a collection of engraved cries, is one of the fragrant acts of worship poured out from this broken jar. Reflections, thoughts, encouragement seeping through my pain and cracks, the pain of my close friends.
This stone will still cry in hope.
Because this stone will refuse to be hardened by despair, but will cry out there are costs for the healing journey still needed.
Prayer is still needed.
