Eyes and Ears

What do your eyes of faith see today?

What do your ears opened by the Spirit hear today? Can you hear the sun, moon, shining starts, the great see creatures, fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word praising him? (Psalm 148)

To a lonely shepherd boy in the Judean hills, the thunder testified to the voice of the Lord, speaking of its power and majesty (Ps. 29). His eyes of faith saw more than sheep, but reminders of his Shepherd’s care (Ps. 23), for he was one of the Lord’s people, a sheep of his pasture (Ps. 100).

Will you see only snow and cold? Or will your eyes of faith see beyond:

He sends out his command to the earth;
    his word runs swiftly.
He gives snow like wool;
    he scatters frost like ashes.
He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs;
    who can stand before his cold?
He sends out his word, and melts them;
he makes his wind blow and the waters flow.
Psalm 147:15-18

Give us eyes and ears, O Lord. Let all of today speak to you. Let us see!

What do your eyes of faith see today? What do you hear about the Lord today?
